             Please read through this before ordering anything!

             The prices are definite for four legged critters (unless we lower them).   Processing is extra for the four legged animals.  Chickens are fairly definite.  If we change prices, we’ll let you know and give you the option of not taking the poultry.  We left approximate processing dates on the flyer for now but are not sure of them.   Poultry are processed under a poultry exemption.  Egg and milk shares run from the first week of May until early November.           

             We’re growing some limited numbers of freedom ranger chickens- these are slower growing, less white meat, but even better flavor.  They’re more expensive too- because they take longer and don’t have as efficient feed conversion.

             This year we are again offering a full season CSA.   It will run 25 weeks, beginning mid May. The cost is $16 per week.  The payments will be split into five parts this year- the deposit ASAP, and then four equal payments due in February, March, April and May.  We will also have a flower share available which runs 21 weeks.  All of our produce and flowers are certified organic this year.  Due to demand, we can make arrangements for half season shares for those that have sauce gardens or prefer spring greens. Full season half shares include the same things as full shares, but in smaller quantity.

             For those that don’t know, CSA stands for community supported agriculture.   Customers purchase shares in the farm, and in return receive a basketful of produce each week, picked fresh that day.  You share all the rewards and some of the risks of the season.  In general though, shares include slightly more produce than you’d get at the farmer’s market for the money. CSA pick up times are Tuesday between 4 and 7 PM on our farm.  Pick up in C-U will be between 4:45 and 6:15. These times might vary slightly due to after school activities, we’ll let you know before the season starts.               Let us know if you’d like to carpool with someone near you or trade pickups.
